The American Dental Association’s “Give Kids a Smile! Day” will be held on February 7, 2014. Free dental care will be provided on this one day for a limited number of children. Citizens should call the phone number listed below if you would like their child considered for this event and to see if their child meets the following criteria:
1. Has dental problems and needs care
(Cavities/fillings, need teeth pulled, fluoride treatments)
2. Does not have a dentist of record
3. Is between the ages of 5 years old and 15 years old
4. Has transportation
5. Has a parent or legal guardian who can be present during dental care
(parent or legal guardian must be present)
Space is limited and appointments are required! Call Pitt County Health Department Monday – Friday at 252.902.2305 between 8:00a to 5:00p to register. Selection will be on a first come basis of those who meet the criteria.
The East Central Dental Society in conjunction with the Pitt County Health Department, ECU School of Dental Medicine, ECU School of Medicine and the ECU School of Nursing will be participating in the American Dental Association’s “Give Kids a Smile!” Day. All five of these organizations work together for better health for our children.
